Whether on a small or major scale, virtually every industry has graphic and multimedia needs.

For any career in Graphics and Multimedia, educational programs cover topics such as design, audio/video, animation, typography, graphic design, software development, visual elements/effects, static and moving images, CAD, and digital communication, among other things. While there are some certification and associate’s degree programs specific to Graphics and Multimedia, most often careers require a person to have a Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), or a Master of Fine Arts (MFA).

Multimedia Developer – The person in this role of Graphics and Multimedia serves as a multi-skilled project manager to make sure the full project is properly executed

Multimedia Systems Analyst – Specific client and company projects would be this person’s responsibility

Producer and Publisher – For all graphics and multimedia projects, this individual oversees both staffing and financing

Sound Technician and Musician – Whether working on a website design, presentation, advertising and marketing campaign, or something else, this individual handles the sound and music needs

Video Technician – The person in this Graphics and Multimedia career would work with analog or digital video footage, or sometimes both
